Do you often feel as if you set out to make changes in your life, yet the change is always short lived? 
This is because you are only changing what you are doing, not who you are being

Change happens at the level of the mind, this is exactly where real change starts.
When we will feel a desire for change, we will almost immediately feel resistance to it.This is usually the point where we start taking action against the resistance, which requires a lot of willpower and effort. 

The chances are you will be able to make temporary changes using will power and effort, but this will only work for a short amount of time, because taking action from will power and effort is not sustainable.

We will end up feeling totally exhausted and this is when we usually give up, then we start to build evidence against our own desire for change.

How to create lasting change

The most important thing when it comes to change, is to know that change must happen in your mind first.
You will need to change who you are being.

Who you are being, comes from thoughts and your belief systems. We need to manage our minds, because our thoughts will create our feelings, then we are driven to take action from those feelings. 

This is why copying other people's actions will only ever work temporarily, because your thoughts are not aligned with your actions, this will feel forced and you will end up feeling exhausted and giving up. 

You may end up taking the same action as you did before you started managing your mind, but now you've changed the thought and feeling driving the action, it will now be sustainable and not exhausting, because you are in alignment. 

When discomfort comes up, don’t let it discourage you, allow it and move through it.

Anticipate and plan for resistance, it can be helpful to even encourage it! 

That resistance is just our brain is just doing its job, it’s scared and uncomfortable because it's trying to survive. If we allow ourselves to learn and understand what is causing our brains to resist we can understand and overcome the discomfort that we are feeling, this understanding will help us to get even stronger.

When we allow discomfort then there's nothing we can't do.
