Time To Align

Earlier this week, I had a conversation with a client that stopped me in my tracks.

My clients said, "I'm actually having fun AND I'm finally attracting my dream clients. What on earth is happening here?"

ALIGNMENT IS HAPPENING HERE.

The heart of your business is you, and when you focus too much on posting on Instagram and tweaking your website and doing all the things to try and get noticed, you'll end up feeling lost.
It's like trying to light a room with a lamp that isn't plugged in—your magic comes from your art, not just from your online presence.

Put aside the efforting, the hustle, and the external goals for a moment.
Set down your Instagram efforts and stop tinkering with your website.
Today, I want to propose something different. I invite you to sink back into your internal guidance.

My pillars for a thriving creative business: ALIGNMENT + MINDSET + STRATEGY

Alignment and mindset ALWAYS come before a marketing strategy when I'm working with my 1:1 clients.
When we are in alignment, everything else falls into place more easily, allowing you to strategise from a place of authenticity and clarity. Being in alignment and having your mindset in check is your foundation for building a fulfilling creative business. Without it, it's going to feel like you're building on quicksand.

Your body knows what your brain doesn't.

As your business starts to grow, you might find that you stop checking in with what feels aligned and instead rely purely on logic, replicating things that might have worked well in the past but no longer feel good. Logic is not where your magic lies, and it won't have you feeling creatively fulfilled.

Reconnect with Your Intuition

Your intuition is a powerful tool. It's the inner voice that knows your true desires and the unique path you should follow. When you reconnect with your intuition, you align yourself with your authentic creative vision. This will help you make genuine connections and attract the projects you dream of. Everything is energy; when you are in alignment, you will attract what you want.

Getting Back into Alignment

Alignment means being in sync with your true self and your creative purpose. When you are aligned, your work flows naturally, and opportunities that resonate with your authentic self begin to appear. Here’s how to get back into alignment:

  1. Quiet the Noise: Take some time away from the distractions of daily life. Meditate, journal, or simply spend time in nature to quiet your mind and listen to your inner voice. Let yourself rediscover play and do something purely because it feels fun.

  2. Reflect on Your Values: Consider what truly matters to you in your creative work. What are the values and principles that you hold dear? Why did you start this work in the first place? Let these guide your decisions and actions.

  3. Embrace Your Unique Vision: Each of us has a unique perspective and creative vision. Embrace yours fully, without comparing yourself to others or trying to fit into a mold. The gold is buried in your own garden.

Strategise from a Place of Alignment

Once you have reconnected with your intuition and realigned with your true self, then it's time to strategise. But now, you’re strategising from a place of authenticity and clarity. This approach ensures that your strategies are not only effective but also fulfilling and true to who you are.

  1. Set Intentional Goals: Define what success looks like for you based on your values and vision, not just external measures of success.

  2. Create Meaningful Work: Let your intuition guide your projects. Create work that you are passionate about and that reflects your true self. This is the work that will stand out and make a lasting impact.

  3. Attract the Right Clients: When you operate from a place of alignment, you naturally attract clients who resonate with your authentic self. These are the clients who value your unique perspective and work style. In order to attract these clients you need to take aligned, intentional  action.

Alignment is the key to impactful work

Chasing after dream clients and perfect commissions can be exhausting and often leads to burnout. By reconnecting with your internal guidance, aligning with your true self and taking aligned action you not only find greater fulfillment but also create more meaningful and impactful work.

So take a moment, breathe, and sink back into your internal guidance. Let this be your starting point. From here, the strategies you develop will be more powerful and true to who you are.
