Your Gut Knows Best
The success of your creative business starts with embracing your unique self, beginning by reconnecting to your intuition.
Feeling lost, overwhelmed, or confused as a creative is common. This happens because we have lost touch with our intuition. People often use these words interchangeably: intuition, gut, Higher self, true self, internal guidance.
Our intuition is like a built-in GPS, guiding us with hints, gentle nudges, and insights, pulling us toward opportunities and alignment.
It guides us to where we are meant to be, even if we don’t realise it. Our intuition doesn't speak with language; it communicates through energy and vibration, sending us signs in our body.
Nature thrives effortlessly when in the right conditions. Similarly, we thrive when aligned with our intuition, because this means we are connected to our true purpose.
Unfortunately, societal conditioning has disconnected many of us from our intuition. We are often stuck in our heads, trying to solve everything with logic, which leaves us feeling lost and overwhelmed. Our intuition holds immense wisdom, but we bury it under layers of distractions, lived experiences, and conditioning. Think about young children—they naturally express their true selves because they haven't yet learned to hide their uniqueness.
To reconnect with your true purpose, you must put the heavy bag of other people's expectations down, and instead look inward to discover what you truly want. You are not your thoughts, feelings, possessions, or roles. You are the essence beneath all these layers.
If you're struggling with the concept of intuition, consider this: you are not your thoughts, because you can observe them. You are not your feelings, because you can experience them. You are not defined by what you have or what you do. Beneath all that lies your intuition, true self, innate wisdom, and a deep knowing that transcends the mind.
Intuition connects us to something greater, whether you call it the Universe, Source, God, or Higher Being. When we are stuck in our heads, we miss the magic and opportunities the universe offers. Your only job is to be good at being you. That
Reconnecting with your intuition requires turning inward and rejecting external distractions. By disconnecting from your true self to fit societal expectations, you disrupt the natural flow. The universe has given you a unique gift that you are destined to share. Embrace your true self and take up the space the universe intended for you.
Successful creatives discover and utilise their unique gifts. Those afraid to be themselves often end up working for those who are not. Your only job is to be good at being you. Like children who naturally express their uniqueness, strive to be unapologetically yourself.
Each day, allow yourself to be a little more of what makes you unique. It can be uncomfortable and scary, but creating in your way is needed—people need your vision and your unique voice.
Reconnecting with your intuition and your true purpose is an inward journey of rediscovery and embracing your unique gifts. By letting go of all the external expectations and societal conditioning, you can align with your true self and live a life filled with purpose and fulfillment.
Your only job is to be good at being you.
